Staying Vigilant Against Scams and Fraud
At us, we prioritize the safety and privacy of our customers. This page serves as a proactive resource to alert our customers and offer guidance in case they suspect they may have fallen victim to fraud.
Top Tips:
⚠️ Never pay in advance for the promise of a loan
⚠️ Never disclose personal information without verifying the identity of the contacting person or company
⚠️ Never send money to a person or company if you don’t recall borrowing from them
Fraud can be deceptive, with scammers often impersonating genuine companies, making fraudulent phone calls or sending letters promising non-existent loan deals. Stay alert to such scams.
Here are two examples of scams where fraudsters have posed as lenders or credit brokers. Familiarize yourself with the details and learn how to protect against them.
Advanced Fee Loan Scam:
Fraudsters demand upfront payment for various “fees,” often via money transfers, wire transfers, or prepaid debit cards like Green Dot. They may mimic legitimate lenders, using fake licenses or approval letters.
Warning Signs:
⚠️ Requesting payment in advance
⚠️ Demanding payment via prepaid debit cards
⚠️ Requesting money through wire transfers
Debt Collection Scam:
Scammers impersonate legitimate collectors or lenders, making fraudulent calls to collect actual or phantom debts. These calls are not from PingYo LLC or any affiliated entity. They may use intimidation tactics to coerce payments for non-existent or previously settled debts.
Warning Signs:
⚠️ Threatening violence, arrest, or wage garnishment
⚠️ Refusing to provide loan agreement or history
⚠️ Attempting to collect an amount different from what you owe
It’s crucial to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to safeguard against potential scams. PingYo LLC does not require upfront payments for loans, and we do not charge request fees. If you encounter any such scams, please notify us immediately.
